HOME BETTER HAIR CARE TO PREVENT HAIR LOSS

Prevention of Hair Loss through Better Hair Care

Minimize your hair loss through the followiing tips:

* Have nutritionally rich and balanced diets.
* Be gentle with your hair and avoid using a hair dryer if possible.
* Tight hairstyles such as braids, buns or ponytails should be avoided.
* Do not twist, rub or pull your hair.
* Use a low level laser comb.

Good hair care helps to avoid damage to your hair that could result in permanent hair loss.

How to Wash and Dry your Hair Correctly

Follow the tips on wshing and drying your hair correctly below, and you will have healthier and greater looking hair:

  • Use plain warm water (not too hot) to wet your hair.
  • Put shampoo on your hands and rub them together to create lather before applying to the hair.
  • Massage the shampoo into the scalp with the finger tips to get the lather up.
  • For shampoos that require the ingrediants to take effect (like conditioner included in the shampoo), follow the instructions that often ask to allow a couple of minutes for the ingredients to take effect.
  • Allow your hair to hang while you rinse it thoroughly.
  • If you are applying conditioner separately, apply it to the scalp first before working it into the hair. Allow a couple of minutes for the conditioner to work into the scalp.
  • Do not rub your hair hard with the towel while drying it. Gently pat it. And don't blow dry your hair wihout first removing the water with the towel in this way.
  • Brush or comb your hair gently. With the use of the right conditioner, your hair should be relatively tangle free.
  • It is best to apply gel, mousse, or setting agents when your hair is still damp after patting dry with the towel. These products are intended to give a glossy appearance to the hair.
  • When blow drying your hair, it is best to use the lowest heat. Avoid concentrating the blower in one area but move it around the head. Do not dry your hair completely.
